iPhone Backup Extractor supports iOS 18
Developing an app can be about innovation, but there are also its comforting rhythms. As surely as the days lengthen and shorten, and migrating birds cross the sky, the new iOS and iPadOS are announced, we update iPhone Backup Extractor to fully support them both, and then I announce it in a blog post:
iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 will be out soon, and iPhone Backup Extractor fully supports them both.
Of course, app development is – or at least should be – a process of steady improvement, and even as iPhone Backup Extractor enters its seventeenth year, we’ve continued to make an app that’s great at what it does and well-relied upon to be even greater. In the past year we’ve shipped updates that add support for iOS 17’s audio message transcription feature and optimised the calendar extractor to make it over 100x faster. Then there’s the new icon, designed to invigorate the look and feel of an app that excels at data CPR.
Of course, newness, cadence and forward motion have marked this year in other ways. Up until last year, I tended to reflect some of the broader changes in the company and what we were doing in these annual posts, but in future I’ll increasingly be folding our journey into a wider “State Of” piece on the blog. We wrote the first of these last year, and the next one’s in progress now.
As ever, thanks for reading, thanks for your support, and thanks for taking part in iPhone Backup Extractor’s story. Talk soon!
