Camo 1.2.0.7873 released

Windows · 1 feature 3 improvements 3 fixes

We’re delighted to bring you a packed Camo Studio Windows update today! This update brings full compatibility with all Windows video apps, including Nvidia Broadcast, WhatsApp, the Windows built-in camera app, and many more! We also have lots of UI updates, including giving you more control on whether Camo Studio should be in light or dark mode.

If you run into any problems, please reach out to us at support@reincubate.com. We'd love to help and hear from you.

  • Feature We've overhauled how Camo Studio communicates with other video apps. This brings full compatibility with all Windows video apps, including Nvidia Broadcast, WhatsApp, Splitcam, XSplit, mmhmm, Telegram, WebEx, and Windows' very own built-in camera app.
  • Improvement We've made it much simpler to change resolution while using Camo Studio in a video call.
  • Improvement You can now set Camo Studio light or dark mode independent of the Windows system setting.
  • Improvement We've made a bunch of other minor improvements to the UI.

Camo 1.7.1.7837 released

macOS · 1 feature 2 improvements 3 fixes

Today’s release focuses on improving the experience using Camo Studio with an external microphone, particularly professional mono microphones. We’ve also improved compatibility with the latest beta of macOS Ventura, and fixed a bug involving overlays.

If you run into any problems, please reach out to us at support@reincubate.com. We'd love to help and hear from you.

  • Feature We’ve added an Audio Settings section to the left-hand side of Camo Studio. When using Camo Studio’s audio in your video app you can now choose to use audio from any microphone connected to your Mac, not just the audio from your phone. This means you can use Camo Studio to control your microphones and it’s now easier to choose the audio when making a local recording.
  • Improvement Previously when making a local recording using a mono microphone there would only be audio in the left channel. You can now use the Advanced tab in Preferences to enable mono audio recording so that audio will be recorded in both channels.
  • Improvement We’ve added an audio delay setting to Camo Studio to fix rare issues where audio and video are not in sync. This can be enabled using the Advanced tab in Preferences.
  • Fix New users who are lucky enough to be running the beta of macOS Ventura will now be sent to the correct part of the new macOS Settings application when giving Camo Studio the permissions it needs to send video to other apps.
  • Fix We’ve fixed an issue which caused issues when changing an image in an overlay.
  • Fix Ever spotted an item in Camo Studio’s menu called “Connection Suggestions” and wondered what it meant? Well, you’re not the only one, this has now been renamed to “Notifications”.
