Step 1. Download and install the iPhone Backup Extractor

Start by downloading and installing iPhone Backup Extractor. It supports Macs and Windows, and all versions of iOS.

To extract your message history you’ll need an iPhone Backup Extractor license. You can use the free edition to see what you'd be able to recover, and retrieve up to 4 files.

Step 2. Select the backup that contains your message history

You can retrieve Hike, Line or WeChat conversations either from an iCloud or from an iTunes backup.

Run iPhone Backup Extractor. It'll read all backups located in iTunes' default folder automatically. (If you've saved backups in a different place, you can add that location by clicking on "Click here to add iTunes backups".) If you've got encrypted iTunes backups, you’ll need to provide your backup password in order to read them.

To add an iCloud account, click the + button or the text that says "Click here to add an iCloud account".
